Packing, not decoration.

The spiral on this page is a working model of phyllotaxis—the same rule nature uses to place scales on a pine cone.

Each new point is set at a fixed turn from the last: the golden angle, about 137.5°. That single habit spreads growth evenly—minimal overlap, almost no wasted space—as the field densifies into a head of nearly touching discs.

When the packing settles, the eye finds two families of crisscrossing spirals. Their counts are often Fibonacci neighbors. The amber accents mark every 13th and 21st point—the same arms your eye already follows on a pine cone or sunflower.

We draw it with the Vogel model: radius grows with the square root of the index; angle steps by the golden angle. Disc size is tied to the packing constant so the finale reads as true packing, not a loose constellation. Scroll does not decorate the mark—it grows it.
